The "give" cheat immediately gives players the item specified. For example, dmflags can indicate that infinite ammo (8192) is turned on or no falling damage (8) or both (8200). For example, "notarget god noclip" executes all three of those commands and has the same effect as typing each command one by one followed by enter.ĭmflags is a number that indicates which options are turned on or off in the current game. Console commands are case insensitive "kill" is the same as "Kill" or "kIlL." Finally, console commands may be strung together with semicolons to make a longer statement. For example, typing in "+attack" without quotes causes the player character to shoot endlessly while "-attack" stops it. The console grants access to hundreds of commands besides and including cheats that can simply be typed into the window. Initially I planned to play DotP after mission pack 2.Quake II's cheats are enabled and disabled via the developer console, a prompt accessed by pressing the tilde ( ~ ) key. I have the feeling, that I should play after the second mission pack of Quake I rather something completely different or better Quake II, before I play Dimension of the Past. Played once the shareware demo and it was okay. Is it really your favorite in the series? Sounds nice! I'm currently playing the second mission pack of Quake I, but I have actually not such a hype for Quake II. So it was a good decision to go with GOG, which has the base game and the expansions. Then, Quake II appeared on Steam in Germany, but the expansions are till this date not available in Germany. Even when Quake II was unbanned in Germany. I bought Quake II on GOG, because Steam was not offering Quake II in Germany for a long time. Many steam updates or versions never came to GOG. I think GOG versions were almost always treated like second class customers. Personally begging for a Quake 2 Remaster, Quake 2 is my favourite in the series. Well the previous Quake/Doom remasters just upgraded all currently existing versions of themselves so if they do something similar then you didn't buy it for no reason. Level 16 : Bio-Waste Treatment - Lots of rooms look like The Reckoning: Sewers, Starting room looks like Ground Zero: Tactical Command Level 15 : Research Lab - Quake 2: Research Lab (Heavily altered, couple of set pieces and general concept) Level 14 : Detention Center - Quake 2: Detention Center, ending similar to Quake 2: Warehouse Level 12 : Processing Center - Ground Zero: Eastern Warehouse (Heavily simplified) + Quake 2: Warehouse (setpiece only), Contains drill exit from Quake 2: Drilling Area Level 11 : Organic Storage - The Reckoning: Lower Hangers Level 7 : Strogg Freighter - The Reckoning: Strogg Freighter Level 4 : Communications Center - Quake 2: Comm Center Level 2 : Central Complex - Ground Zero: Lower Mines (setpiece only) Level 1 : Strogg Outpost - New Prologue, shared with Playstation release If they added the console exclusive prelude mission set in the Afrika campaign, the Xbox (original) content (shotgun, new enemies) and mixed it with the PS2 version upgrade system, it would be like the ultimate version of RTCW. Though, I really hope we eventually see a RTCW remaster over just about anything else. I found out early on when I first got QII on PS1 that the only true way to enjoy it was to use a PS1 mouse, so having this experience on mouse + keyboard wouldn’t feel too far off from how it controlled that way on PS1. Plus, the PS1 version is a little different too and had a couple new enemies and uses maps from the PC version, the mission packs, and N64 but it’s all condensed quite a bit for a much shorter and far more linear game. Hopefully if this is the case and they are to release a QII remaster it will be much like the latest Quake remaster and allow for cross-play, and maybe even some sort of add-on to play the N64 version maps with soundtrack, which are entirely different maps and music from the PC version. Shame they’re choosing to have it virtually yet again, though. I wouldn’t be surprised if something does get announced in August, even if it turns out to not be this, or if it ends up just being the QII music being remastered and rereleased on vinyl or something, there will definitely be some sort of announcement at QuakeCon this year.

As far as I can remember it was maybe a bit futuristic but still realistic (think Robocop) and I'm pretty sure you could get real weapons (M-16, Chainguns, etc). It was in full motion video and I remember that the mouse cursor would change depending on what gun you were using. It was a on-rail shooter using the mouse to shoot. I remember playing a game on pc around 1995-96. Thanks for any help!Īll right, here we go. The only other thing I remember is that at the end of the opening cinematic, the black sports car loses it's license plate and when the camera zooms in on it, it says '2FAST4U'. Don't think there was much of a campaign. Could be confusing that with another game though. I know there were no pickups or powerups, but there may have been some mechanism for dropping spikes or oil slicks. Some real locations like Corsica, but just fake road courses, not real tracks. You could race as anything from real fast go-karts to tour buses, and all types of vehicles could be in the same race. I remember playing it around the same time as 1NSANE, so maybe 2004-05. Felt like it might have been from a foreign developer. It was a racing game that I played on the PC, and it was probably only for the PC. It was in 3D and had 3rd person perspective (I think) Flying something that may or may not have resembled a stealth fighter, I remember being in Egypt, shooting aliens ( I think) and trying to fly either through a trap door through the pyramids or the sphinx. The basis of the game was a sort of flight simulator. Probably released by Microsoft or Microsoft game studios. Around the time of Age of Empires and AoE: Rise of Rome and Microsoft Return of Arcade. You were then in game and had to take off from a runway and take out futuristic mini cities like their radar towers etc. The first cutscene was of your ship being raised on a platform from underground to the surface, I remember flashing red siren lights on the sides of the platform. You played as a futuristic spaceship in a 3D world on a planets surface somewhere in space. This is a pretty bad description for what I'm sure is a game no one has heard of, but I'd really like to remember the name. I can't actually remember very much of the actual gameplay, but colour was a main theme so it might have been some sort of puzzle-platformer involving colourful chameleons. I remember the art on the cartridge was some different-coloured lizards and the name had something to do with chameleons or a play-on-words involving lizards. I'm thinking of an N64 game, and I have no idea what the exact year was. But, again, you could not do this in the final military base. If you were playing co-op and your partner was still alive, you could use another credit to get 3 more lives. If you lost, it would show a map that displays how far you got, and then end. In single player, there was never an option to continue. But, in the final military base, you were not allowed to continue if you lost all your lives in co-op. You could put in as many credits as you wanted (obviously, because we owned the machine). First to missiles, then to missiles that exploded in a horizontal line, then to missiles that exploded in an "X" pattern. As you let them off, you would be upgrading your explosives. Shortly after these military bases, there would be a helipad, where you would park and let the guys get off. If you stopped your jeep next to the building, the guys would file into your car. You could use your explosives to blow up certain buildings in the base, and you would see that the buildings housed guys. On the way, there were several military bases. It was a vertical scroller, with you driving upwards (what I call "Gunsmoke-style"). You had two buttons: One for machine gun, and one for explosives, which started out as a blue grenade. Co-op was possible, adding another jeep to the screen. Maybe a couple years later.), we had an arcade cabinet that had no title on the marquee at the top, just some picture of guys in the army. When I was a kid (I'm thinking 1995, maybe, is when we bought it. Other than that, I can't really help you. The stone thing makes me think of the ricocheting powerup from Castlevania. In the first session, Meghan will dissect what makes a great A story for a pilot, discussing the goals you should have for this story as well as helpful strategies and secrets to bring it together. Over two intensive on-demand sessions, Meghan will dive deep into how to effectively structure a 30-minute TV pilot script, focusing on finding the pilot’s story and building it out with an A, B, and C story. Meghan’s career as a writer as well as her experience teaching other aspiring creatives has given her powerful experience with television story structure, and she’s excited to bring what she’s learned to the Stage 32 community. Previous to being staffed on television shows, she worked as a writer’s assistant and script coordinator for shows like FX’s MARRIED, ABC’s CHARITY CASE, and VH1’s HIT THE FLOOR. Her work has also appeared on Cartoon Network’s POWER PLAYERS, and in Escala, AeroMéxico’s official in-flight magazine. Meghan Pleticha is television writer with ten years of entertainment industry experience who has most recently worked as a staff writer on HBO’s Emmy Nominated comedy series SILICON VALLEY. So how can you structure your own half hour pilot into an effective script with a clear A, B and C story? How can you find the balance and spin every plate so you can have a standout pilot script and writing sample that can get you the attention and opportunities you’re looking for? That’s a lot of plates to spin, but if you can’t nail your pilot’s structure, your characters and world won’t reach their full potential. In just 30 pages, you need to establish your world, your characters, and your ongoing stories without overloading the audience with exposition and while still injecting the episode itself with its own story and arc. Writing a great pilot script is such a tricky balancing act, ESPECIALLY for a 30-minute show. This will allow you to introduce your characters, world, and plot points while still maintaining a pace and shape to the episode. Figuring out the best version of your pilot story often comes down to structuring the script into an A, B and C story. It’s that story that can help you get a job. But it’s that story that will get a reader to finish the script. One of the most common pitfalls is failing to write a compelling story that showcases your characters and world. Writing a pilot is hard, though, and writing a great pilot is even harder. If you want to work as a TV writer, you need a great writing sample, and these days, that comes in the form of a pilot script. A few weeks ago, when I saw Matthew Hendrickson and Mara Averick’s excitement over the UpSetR plot, I knew what I should do.įolks, what you are about to witness is a set analysis face off! We will be pairing off Venn diagrams and UpSet plots in a variety of scenarios for a true battle royale. But I couldn’t do that in good conscious without showing an alternative for larger and more complex set analysis. Because I like making nerd comedy graphs, I considered sharing with y’all how to create Venn diagrams in R. They’re pretty, they’re often funny, and they convey the straight forward overlap between one or two sets somewhat easily. It’s time for me to come clean about something I think Venn diagrams are fun! Yes that’s right, I like them. |
